So here's some news. I have to go to our Hailey, ID office next week. I'm flying out Monday and returning Thursday. Do you know how HARD it is to get there from B'ham? To get there, I'm going Birmingham to Houston to Salt Lake City to Hailey. Then, to get back, I go from Hailey to Salt Lake City to Houston to Atlanta to Birmingham. To get in and out of Hailey, you take a puddle jumper, basically. I don't know if y'all know this, but I HATE to fly. Do not like. I'm OK once we're way up at cruising altitude, so long as there are NO bumps of any sort, and so long as I don't have to get up and pee. I'm OK with landing, too. But I absolutely can't stand taking off. And I'll be flying into a teeeeniney lil town that's literally IN THE MOUNTAINS. I'm gonna be a nervous wreck.  Check out this tiny ass runway!:  Here's the whole entire town, basically:  It's pretty, though.  |

Meh. That's a 7,550' runway. Plenty of length for your puddle jumper.
Besides, look on the bright side; you're only a few miles north of Bellevue and a few miles south of Gimlet. Talk about your wild towns.

I was talking with one of the sales reps who was up there a couple of weeks ago. They had to take a BUS into Hailey because there was no visibility and they didn't want to slam into the side of the mountain.  I know I'm being a baby about this. I should be thankful to be gainfully employed.  |

He landed it on the island. If you're referring to when he had the Oceanic 6, that was based on circumstances beyond his control (bullet holes in the fuel tank).
